6.2.7 Switching helm stations

For more information about helm station layout, see Helm station controls.

Always be careful when switching helm stations. Take into consideration how the waves move the boat while the station is not manned.

To switch helm stations:

  1. Stop the boat safely by bringing the engine to idle.

Make sure the gear is switched to neutral.

  2. Disconnect the emergency cut-off switch cord from yourself, but leave it attached to the remote controller.

  3. Move to the other helm station and activate the station by pressing the “Station” button on the remote controller.

  4. Attach the emergency cut-off switch cord to yourself and continue driving.

Forward visibility from the outside helm station is limited.

Driving with limited visibility can cause collisions.

Always make sure you have proper lookout when driving the boat from this station.
